About NSDC:-

The National Skill Development Corporation India, (NSDC) is a one of its kind, Public Private Partnership in India. It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions.
NSDC provides funding to build scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support systems such as quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organisations that provide skill training. It will also develop appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. The differentiated focus for the 21 sectors under NSDC’s purview and its understanding of their viability will make every sector attractive to private investment.


STAR SCHEME:-

The objective of this Scheme is to encourage skill development for youth by providing monetary rewards for successful completion of approved training programs. Specifically, the Scheme aims to:

  • Encourage standardization in the certification process and initiate a process of creating a registry of skills; and increase productivity of the existing workforce and align the training and certification to the needs of the country.
  • Provide Monetary Awards for Skill Certification to boost employability and productivity of youth by incentivizing them for skill trainings
  • Reward candidates undergoing skill training by authorized institutions at an average monetary reward of 10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand) per candidate.
  • Benefit 10 lakh youth at an approximate total cost of 1,000 Crores.

Key Features:-
  • This Scheme shall be implemented through Public-Private and Public-Public partnerships.
  • NSDC will be the implementing agency for this Scheme and NSDF shall monitor the implementation of the Scheme, using mutually agreed criteria with NSDC.
  • The Scheme will provide monetary incentives for successful completion of, market-driven skill training to approximately ten lakh youth in a span of one year from the date of implementation of the scheme.
  • All trainings will be specifically oriented for developing skills in specific growth sectors.
  • Assessment and training bodies for all purposes of the Scheme will be separate and no overlap of roles will be allowed to maintain transparency and objectivity.
  • The monetary reward will be wholly funded by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and will be affected through direct bank transfer to the beneficiaries’ accounts.
  • Appropriate consideration will be provided to the economically backward sections.
  • Under STAR Scheme we enrolled about 5000 candidates in 6 different job roles with a passing percentage of Near 70%.
  • In this program we spread us in 3 different states other than Haryana.
  • We trained about 5000 candidates in various sectors like Agriculture, Retail, Gems & Jewellary etc. The main job roles was Dairy farmer and worker in agriculture sector.
  • Many of candidates placed after the training and placement is also continuously going on after the training.

POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED (POWERGRID), the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of the country under Ministry of Power is one amongst the largest Power Transmission utilities in the world. POWERGRID is playing a vital role in the growth of Indian power sector by developing a robust Integrated National Grid and associating in the flagship programme of Govt. of India to provide Power for all. Innovations in Technical & Managerial fields has resulted in coordinated development of power transmission network and effective operation and management of Regional and National Grid. In this program we provided EDP(Entrepreneurship development programme) training to the students to enhance small and medium enterprises. The use of trainers residing in the areas being targeted for training has proven to be a most sustainable and efficient way of increasing productivity and costeffectiveness under the Programme. In this regard, the regional training of Trainers undertaken in the various regions of Uganda are highly commended. This has also translated into building the skills of these grassroot facilitators which means that the skills will remain at the Community Level where they are more relevant and effective.


The major objectives of the Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) are to:
  • Develop and strengthen the entrepreneurial quality, i.e. motivation or need for achievement.
  • Analyse environmental set up relating to small industry and small business.
  • Select the product.
  • Formulate proposal for the product.
  • Understand the process and procedure involved in setting up a small enterprise.
  • Know the sources of help and support available for starting a small scale industry.
  • Acquire the necessary managerial skills required to run a small-scale industry.
  • Know the pros and cons in becoming an entrepreneur.
  • Appreciate the needed entrepreneurial discipline.
  • Besides, some of the other important objectives of the EDPs are to:
  • Let the entrepreneur himself / herself set or reset objectives for his / her enterprise and strive for their realization.
  • Prepare him / her to accept the uncertainty in running a business.
  • Enable him / her to take decisions.
  • Enable to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Develop a broad vision about the business.
  • Make him subscribe to the industrial democracy.
  • Develop passion for integrity and honesty.
  • Make him learn compliance with law.

The scheme Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme” is an apex organization under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, with regard to village industries within India, which seeks to - plan, promote, facilitate, organize and assist in the establishment and development of village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development wherever necessary. This programme was sponsored by DIC.The program was aimed in generating and increasing the entrepreneurial knowledge in masses such that scheme can be reached to more beneficiaries. In this program, candidates who got loans from various departments were provided with Entrepreneurial knowledge and skills so that they can grow their business to higher scale.

KVIC:


The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament (No. 61 of 1956, as amended by act no. 12 of 1987 and Act No.10 of 2006. In April 1957, it took over the work of former All India Khadi and Village Industries Board. This programme was sponsored by MSME. Under this programme we provided EDP training of 16 days to the micro and small scale enterprise owners to help them in growing their businesses to higher scales.

This program was conducted under MSME in which we provided a 45 days training of TALLY and EDP to the students. The students were taught about the need of computer education and entrepreneurial knowledge . Many beneficiaries were imparted EDP training. They were also awarded certificates by conduction a certificate distribution programme in which some of the prominent local elected member also participated. Out of the 100 trainees enrolled in the training program maximum of them were interested to start their own enterprise and many of them were linked to different schemes of commercial banks operating in their locality and vicinity. Some were even motivated to fill EM-1 with the District Industry Centre in co-ordination with the General Manager of respective DICs. A few of the successful trainees opted to the PMEGP scheme of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) implanted by KVIC, KVIC is also the nodal agency for the scheme to monitor and release the Government subsidy. As a part of the training we also invited some of the successful entrepreneurs to share their experience and strategy, tactics they adopted in different puzzled situation during the running of their enterprise, some of the Guest faculties were also called to share their experience, knowledge, ideas and views which would benefit the trainees. The training was highly demanded and our efforts were also highly appreciated by all the participants and Guest faculties along with the Financing Banks.

CIPET operates on hub & spokes model with 23 locations spread across the length & breadth of the country CIPET renders Technology Support Services in Design, Tooling, Plastics Processing, and Testing & Quality Assurance in India and abroad. The entrepreneurship development programmes has an important role to play insolving the unemployment problem. Unemployment is demoralizing. It is the majorsource of waste in our present economic system. The most alarming form of unemployment today is educated unemployment. India is facing a chronic problem of unemployment. Due to this frustration and discontent increases, the rate of crime also increases. Instead of going after a government job, people should make an effort to get themselves by starting their own business.



Objective of program:-
The following are the most commonly cited objectives of entrepreneurship education and training programs:
  • to acquire knowledge germane to entrepreneurship;
  • to acquire skills in the use of techniques, in the analysis of business situations, and in the synthesis of action plans;
  • to identify and stimulate entrepreneurial drive, talent and skills;
  • to undo the risk-adverse bias of many analytical techniques;
  • to develop empathy and support for all unique aspects of entrepreneurship;
  • to devise attitudes towards change;>
  • to encourage new start-ups and other entrepreneurial ventures.

Entrepreneurship development programs were conducted by District Industrial Centre with the help of CIPET with objective of providing a focal point for promoting small, tiny, cottage and village industries in a particular area and to make available to them all necessary services and facilities at one place. The program was of technical genre aimed to upgrade the skill & technical competency of personnel employed in plastics industry. Duration of this training was One month and scholarships were also given to the students.

Gram Avtar Foundation has initiated a programme for providing facilities to the villages so that they can also connect to the mainstream job opportunities and knowledge for their own benefit. This programme is running in north Indian villages of many districts. Gramin Suvidha Kendras have been established in the villages in which the people are provided with the internet facilities to access job opportunities and online shopping services. We are partner with Gram Avtar to execute this program.

But all these facilities limited to big cities in our country , although we all know that approximately 80 percent of our population lives in villages and towns. Government of India has been started many services in rural areas, but due to the communication gap.. these services has not been launch in proper way, Perhaps this is mainly due to the growing population of our country. We know the importance of rural IT development, without IT India will not be add in the list of progressed countery. To full fill the dream of India…. In December 2009, Gram Avtar have decided to corporate tie-up with SIR Infoteck Private Limited . This project has been currently launched in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan only. Given the over-enthusiasm of people GRAM AVTAR and SIR Infoteck Private Ltd is going to launch in other states of India very soon.
